Tom & LeeAnn Bateson began raising Cattle when their oldest two children joined 4-H in 1966.  Then in the early 70's they purchased a herd of beef Cattle from Dale Hector and have ran a 20-30 head cow/calf operation ever since.

Tom passed in 2004, all six of Tom and LeeAnn's children help when they can but Sally and Bill take care of the daily chores and main Cattle operation.  The Bateson family have continued to show Cattle at the Hancock County Fair for over 40 consecutive years.  We have mostly stayed with production or crossbred Cattle, but Bill and his wife Angela began small purebred shorthorn herd in 2000.  We welcome anyone to come and see our cattle and farms in southern Hancock County.
