U.S. Route 30 Relocation & Construction Project
U.S. Route 30, located in southern Hancock County is slated to be relocated and widened to a four-lane divided highway starting in 2005.  The Hancock Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is assisting the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) with surveying and planning of subsurface drainage along the new 15 mile route as a result of the construction project.

Work Continuing

Gary Tuttle reports that work is continuing on the U.S. Route 30 landowner projects. There have been 13 projects completed since 2005. The new U.S. Route 30 opened to traffic fall/winter of 2007.

-42 parecels of land will be receiving SWCD assistance

-15 miles of new roadway will be constructed
